Excavator Seat Testing & Benchmarking

We conducted an extensive benchmarking activity of excavator seats from different manufacturers. Our work included 3D scanning, identifying test requirements, test execution, teardown, and data analysis.

The ergonomic assessment was performed with 21 people under weight category 3. It entailed a detailed seat pressure mapping test in 4 positions for over 60 minutes. The durability tests were performed for over 5000 cycles with an AM plate for pressure mapping.
