Our customer, a leading multinational corporation specializing in the manufacturing of construction and mining equipment faced the challenge of designing a robust computing platform that could operate seamlessly in harsh underground environments. The solution required a ruggedized design with industrial-grade interfaces, real-time AI processing for vision compute & control, and efficient thermal & power management. Additionally, the system needs to integrate multiple high-speed interfaces, while ensuring operational safety and productivity in confined spaces.

The primary objective of the project, to develop a ruggedized High-Performance Computing (HPC)-based Autonomous Control Unit capable of supporting autonomous control in underground mining vehicles. The solution is needed to ensure safety, productivity, and reliability while handling demanding off-road AI applications.
