Padmashri Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai, popularly known as the Moon Man of India, is an Indian scientist. He is currently the vice president for the Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology (TNSCST) and Chairman of the Board of Governors at the National Design and Research Forum (NDRF).
Born on 2nd July, 1958, in Kothavadi, a village near Pollachi in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, Dr. Annadurai has served as the Director of ISRO’s Satellite Center (ISAC), Bangalore. During his 36 years at ISRO, he was instrumental in driving Chandrayaan-1 and Mangalyaan - India’s mission to Moon and Mars, respectively. His contribution to Chandrayaan-1 earned him the epithet, Moon Man of India.
Mr. Sudhanshu Mani, is a former IRSME officer from Chennai's Integral Coach Factory (ICF), credited with pioneering the design and development of India’s Vande Bharat high-speed trains.
As a veteran of thirty-seven years in the Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME), Mr. Mani has extensive experience in projects, railway operations, R&D, and Technology and Rolling stock design, across several hands on, administrative, and managerial assignments. His achievements include being the senior-most representative of Indian Railways outside India and a transformative stint the General Manager of the biggest railway coach-building factory in the world.
