Taken together, these AI-assisted steps can shrink overall project schedules and lower the chance of costly respins – outcomes that are becoming table stakes as silicon grows more specialized and costly to rework.
Driving Convergence: Co-Design with Hardware, Software, and AI
Enhanced chips are no longer commodities, but rather, systems that must be co-designed with models and runtimes in mind. That means three engineering disciplines collaborating from day one:

AI is driving a cultural shift in semiconductor engineering, compressing timelines, tightening integration, and enabling the intelligent system become the unit of value rather than the standalone chip. In such a scenario, success would require that we treat hardware, models and software as a single design problem, and apply AI to both the product and the process.
